Lentil soup, turkish way

Ingredients for 4 persons:

  • 250g of red lentils
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2 lemon ( cut into 2 pieces and keep the skin)
  • 1/2 potato
  • 1/2 tomato
  • 1 spoon of tomato purée
  • dried mint (1 tablespoon)
  • Chili flakes (1 tablespoon)
  • Black pepper (1 teaspoon)
  • Olive oil

Wash the lentils with a lot of fresh water.

Cut all the vegetables into big pieces and put them all together with the lentils in a big pan. Add water (1 liter and a half), cover it and leave it for 30/40 minutes.
Filter the soup and serve .
