Saçtava, classical family dish from Turkey

Ingredients for4 persons:

  • 5 Green and red peppers
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 fresh tomatoes
  • Chili flakes
  • Dryed and minced Laurel
  • 800g minced beef

 

Preparation : 

  • In a wok, Put together onion, garlic, peppers cut into small cubes and olive oil. Make it fry
  • Add tomato purée (which is supposed to softened the meat. The other way to do so in the turkish tradition is by adding yogurt) and beef cut into small pieces. Let it fry a bit and cover.
  • When almost ready, add a bit of chili flakes and 2 fresh tomatoes
  • Add the laurel and cut the fire

Serve with pilaf and salads
