Gatsronomy and “alternative” culture… How to visit Paris my way
Here are the 8 activities that made me change my mind about Paris. I had an amazing weekend and I definitey recommend it to anyone interested in food, street art and non touristic places.
There might be other places that I never heard of (don’t hesitate to send your tips). My list is not exhaustive but just a selection of what I liked about my weekend with my friends.
Start straight with tea time at Ladurée. Indeed, it’s totally cliché but this place is not only a tourist attraction, It’s one of my somewheres that I share with a great friend of mine. Have a tea and a pastry of your choice and enjoy… And yes it’s worth queuing for 20 minutes. (crédits photo)
– 75 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris-
Go to café constant by chef Christian constant for diner. It’s french (well, good news, we’re in Paris), It’s classical and typical (But as classical AND typical are not the trend anymore, in the end, it’s kind of fancy) and it’s good… Very good.
– 139 rue Saint Dominique, 75007 Paris –
Don’t take the subway to go back home and visit Paris by night by walking to place vendôme, place de la concorde, pont Alexandre III (bridge), les invalides… (Crédits photo)
The day after, enjoy the view of the roof of Paris from the roof of les galeries lafayette. (crédits photo)
– 40 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris –
Go to “le marais” and have the best Falafel of Paris (And it’s true, it’s really good).
– 23 Rue des Rosiers , 75004 Paris-
Don’t leave too quickly and stop by l’éclair de génie for a selection of this famous french pastry for dessert or tea time. My favourite ones were lemon and mascarpone.
– 14 Rue Pavée, 75004 Paris –
Have a walk along the old and closed down subway station called “La petite ceinture”.
For the official walk ==> Info in french
For the non official walk ==> go inside the fobidden place via the “rue Florian” (Florian street) in Montreuil. Stop at “Maraîchers” on line 9 (real subway).
info in french “le premier degré et demi”
